Pumpkin Head is a pumpkin I carved in 1997.

The face is that of my son Jake. Make sure you try going up and down in the movie, turning on and off the light. This VR combines a couple of my hobbies pumpkin carving, and QTVR. I captured the images on video and then put them together inside After Effects (like I would do when creating any looping animations). To get the glow I had to create a mask of the area I wanted to glow. This involved hand painting multiple frames luckily it wasn't to many. When I had the effect I wanted I made the quicktime movie into a QTVR using QTVRAS.

Other things I have carved onto pumpkins include: Barney the Dinosaur, Piglet and Pooh, Horton the elephant, (can you tell I have young children at home?) and the scariest thing I have carved was the face of a local car dealer (I still get chills).
