Overview
For some of us the word "sacred" may inspire that which is so rare that it can not be re-created, duplicated or digitized...and the wonder of it is all that exists. For others, what is sacred, special or meaningful is that which may be expressed through art. One definition of the word sacred is: "A place dedicated to a specific purpose." Every language has a word for it and every civilization has had ideas about what it is, so there are rich resources to be inspired by. This theme emanates from an (ancient and modern) awareness of special or meaningful places and things. To literally re-create environments photographically is often the best expression or documentation. However an environment, atmosphere or object could be described in a symbolic or surrealistic style. Keep this in mind while viewing the exhibit. You may find that what has
been created will help you understand and appreciate your environments
more deeply....within and without.
