Sequoia National Park contains many treasures, among them the immense, soaring-to-the-sky Giant Sequoia trees and the grounded-on-the-earth Sacred Datura flowers.

Sky and earth are brought together in this QTVR. The forceful majesty of the sequoia trees contrasts with the delicate beauty of the datura flowers. Together, they evoke the beauty of a unique and sacred place.

When a person looks at a grove of sequoia trees, their humbling hugeness makes it difficult to keep an accurate perspective. To portray this confusion, the proportional scale of objects was suspended in creating this QTVR. However, to get your bearings, look for the person in the sequoia grove who IS in scale to the size of the trees.
