Biography

Scott Highton was the original QTVR photographer, having been chosen by Apple Computer in 1994 to be the first outside photographer to work with and test QuickTime VR when that technology was in development. His photography of the original Apple Company Store project led to other work on early landmark projects, including Masco's Virtual Showhome CD, the original Toyota CD-ROMs with IPIX, and TerraQuest's Virtual Galápagos live online web expedition. Scott was the first to use both QuickTime VR and IPIX technologies underwater.
Today, he specializes in high-end VR photography for magazines, corporations and multimedia producers, producing high quality imagery in difficult, remote locations including underwater, aerial and extreme environments. He also works as a documentary film cameraman and is writing a book on virtual reality photography.
